About the ELEVTRA project
The ELEVTRA project, which was officially launched in 2012, promotes the uptake and development of electric vehicles in Europe, emphasising the need for proper training of technicians to operate these new technologies. The project aims to develop a standardised training programme at the European level that provides a comprehensive response to the electric vehicle market’s needs, while also addressing a number of crucial challenges facing the development of electro mobility technologies.
Project partners & European Union support
The project involved 6 dedicated partners: Fundación Metal Asturias, Integrovaná střední škola automobilní (ISSA) Brno, Šolski center Velenje, shecco SPRL, Universidad de Oviedo and Hochschule Bochum.
The project is funded by the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme. ELEVTRA falls under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, which supports organisations in the vocational education sector to work with partners from across Europe to exchange best practices and to increase their expertise.
Final seminar - programme highlights
In addition to providing a summary of the project’s progress and conclusions, the seminar will also feature discussions on EU policies and market trends for electro mobility, as well as EV education and training opportunities. The programme will also include a round table discussion about the future of electric vehicles in Europe and beyond with speakers from the EU institutions, the EV industry, academia, OEMs and more.
